TripAdvisor Review from Surya (May 2015)

Conveniently located in a quiet, shaded side street of an up-market area of Pretoria, the guest house provides clean and pleasant rooms in a secure environment - access street control. The personal service of the owner, Mr Seidel, and his staff makes alot of difference. One feels totally at home and wants to come back. All the above, combined with a competitive price makes Guest House Seidel a perfect choice of accommodation when one is visiting Pretoria. 4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 weeks ago Stayed May 2015, travelled solo, Tripadvisor user Surya 77, Athens

I do a lot of traveling and enjoy a atmosphere where i feel like i belong and that my presence is appreciated. My stay was a very pleasant experience and the environment like “home from home”. Food and facilities are excellent value for money and the hospitality is a huge cherry on top. We had such a pleasant stay at Seidels and I cannot agree more with Julian G — A home from home. We just couldn’t get away from Mr Seidel entertaining us with his travels and knowledge of the South African history and tourists attractions. From the moment we arrived until we left it was all fun and laughter. For any tourist this is the place to be. We’ve travelled the world and more to come. This was the first time ever a host offered so much information.

I arrived at Guest House Seidel on the 2nd of April 2008 from Cape Town. It was a cold and rainy evening and I could not see much of the surroundings.  I was booked into a room and was pleasantly surprised. It was nice, clean and smelt fresh and homely, no old food odours. The outside was spacious with well kept gardens.  I have spent time in many other guesthouses before, all over the country. I have spent time in good ones and bad ones. This one was good and in a good area near to the Banks, Gautrain station,…

About our stay at Guest House Seidel, in February 2013 we stayed again in Gerhard , Malie and Liezl’s Guest house Seidel, Pretoria.  And, as during the previous time, we again enjoyed being with them.  Seidel offers nice rooms in a elegant and large villa with fine garden around it.  Here you can sit and enjoy your stay.  Or go inside and rest in the large lounge while reading a book from the library.  Or you want a swim? The swimming pool is in the grounds nearby.  We took care of our own breakfast, but you can also take it from…
